Dress Expectations
Each year, we emphasize the importance of appropriate dress for this special occasion. Our expectation is that all students represent themselves and Dillon Middle School in a respectful and appropriate manner. Students should wear nice clothing suitable for a formal school event
-Attire should not draw undue attention to themselves or away from others. No lei necklaces or hats are permitted during the ceremony.
-This is not a formal prom; girls are not expected and are discouraged from purchasing or wearing prom-style dresses
-A dress is not required—nice pants outfits are perfectly acceptable
-Please do not feel pressured to spend money on clothing that will only be worn once
-Boys should wear slacks and a collared shirt (ties are optional)
-Students who wear t-shirts and/or jeans will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony
We are proud of our 8th grade students and look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you. Please feel free to reach out to our office at 683-2368, option 2, with any questions you may have.
Very Respectfully,
Mr. Rogers
