Welcome Back to School!

As summer winds down, we are excited to welcome students back for another great school year! Please review the important information below to ensure your student is ready for the first day of school, Tuesday, September 8th (September 10th or 11th for Kindergarten).

Annual Forms & Transportation

All students, both new and returning, must complete online annual forms before school begins. These forms include student information, required consents, emergency contacts, and transportation information.

• Student Transportation Form (if riding bus and didn't ride bus last year). If current rider, you will receive an email to complete continuing bus registration.

Back-to-School Orientations

• Taking Care of Business Night (K-5), September 1 at 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Parkview Elementary.

  This event is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher, visit classrooms, drop off school supplies, pay student fees and ask questions before the first day of school. We encourage all K-5 students and their families to attend.

• 6th Grade & DMS New Student Orientation, August 24 at 6:00 PM, DMS Gym

• 7th & 8th Grade Orientation, August 25 at 6:00 PM, DMS Gym:

  During middle school orientations, families will be able to pick up schedules and locker assignments, complete paperwork and pay fees and receive important information for the school year. We encourage all students and at least one parent/guardian to attend. Families with students in multiple grades may attend either session. Please note: Schedules currently visible in Infinite Campus are not finalized and may change before school starts.

DMS Fall Sports

Practices for the following fall sports begin August 31 at 3:45 PM in the DMS Gym:

• Cross Country (Grades 6-8)

• Volleyball (Grades 7-8)

• Football (Grades 7-8)

To participate, students must have a current physical on file and complete the online DMS Activities Registration form.

Additionally, a required fall sports parent meeting for Cross Country, 7th-8th Grade Volleyball, and Football participants will be held on September 1 at 5:30 PM in the DMS Gym. Up-to-date activity schedules can be found on the district website.
